Lisa Cantillon is a director at KTA Tax and its CEO. She has specialised in the area of private client tax advice since qualifying as an AITI Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) in 2004, having obtained third place in the first part of the CTA exams in 2002.
Recognised as a leading expert in her field, Lisa has an extensive background in advising high net worth individuals on various matters.
Her particular expertise lies in the expatriate area, where she provides advice on residence and domicile, estate planning, and the remittance basis of taxation in Ireland. This includes developing pre-residence planning strategies, addressing tax issues associated with international pension and social security issues, and advising trustees of offshore structures on Irish tax matters. She also assists individuals moving to Ireland with various pre-retirement and post-retirement, foreign pension structures.
Lisa is well-versed in international estate planning from an Irish perspective, including the inheritance tax implications of transferring assets to the next generation. She is experienced in navigating cross-border tax issues.

Lisa has been a guest lecturer for various financial advisory organisations in respect of various private client tax matters. Lisa has sat on the Education Committee for the Irish Taxation Institute for several years.
Lisa is an active member and steering committee member of the International Tax Specialist Group (ITSG), a network of tax specialists with members in over 50 countries worldwide. The ITSG consists of a closely-knit team of international advisers who stay abreast of global developments and maintain a working knowledge of taxation in other countries.
